5 Weeks Summer Program



Studying abroad may be one of the most profitable cultural experiences for a  student. You’ll be living among locals and you will feel at home soon. You will learn Italian not only in the classroom, but through your everyday life in Siena. Our on-site lectures, academic excursions, visits to museums, field trips, hands-on cooking classes will surely broaden your learning experience.

Culture courses and seminars are taught in English, so you can fully understand subjects we cover such as: Art history and Architecture, Italian History, Performing Arts, Literature, Anthropology, Economy, Health and Nutrition amongst others.


  • 20 group lessons of Italian language instruction per week.
  • 45 Culture lessons (Reading the City as a Textbook).
  • From 3 to 7 credit-units

  • Suitable both for beginners and advanced students or for those who want to learn a foreign language through different and various practical contents.

  • PLEASE note that the fees include accommodation in Siena in double room in apartment shared with other students. The following are the fees to add to the price of the course for other housing choices:

Dante Alighieri Siena or the student submits the necessary documentation directly to the Language Department or Study Abroad Advisor for credit approval in his/her university/college/high school. We recommend following some simple steps in order to assure obtaining academic credits, please contact DA Siena Admission Office at your earliest convenience.
