1919 – 2019: one hundred years of style
The cententennial of the Weimar’s school of design, architecture, and applied arts
The exhibition at the Santa Maria della Scala is part of the celebrations for the centennial of the famous Weimar’s school of design. For the occasion the city of Weimar – that has been twinned with Siena for over 20 years – has given a reproduction of Walter Gropius‘s office as it was when he used to be the director of the school. Additionally, a selection of furnishings ranging from the end of the 19th century and the fifties of the 20th century will enrich the exhibition.
